-Faded Midnight-

The moon arose up in the murky east
As I sat there crying in the darkness
         Much too horrified to speak
Tears from the depth of some devine despair
Rise in the heart, and gather to the eyes

By the side of the pail-faced moon
I feel my torments so increase
           And start to realize
         That life cannot remain

          In the howling storm
          The pain that I feel
Is shown for what it really is
            And I am lonely
        Death, rock me asleep
     For that old faded midnight

Author's Comments

We had to write a found poem for creative writing...it was fun to do...basically we had to pull lines out of other poets poems and make a poem ourselvesof 15 lines...I really like the way it turned out, my teacher liked it too! I got a 100! are you proud?! Her comments basically said that the lyrics were true and she thought i wanted to comit suicide which actually wouldn't be a bad idea right now....

Where's your treasure, where's your gold if you get the world yet lose your soul?
:iconleliz:
wow, Anne Boleyn, as in "mother of Queen Elizabeth" Anne Boleyn? Anyways, great poem, I am horrible at doing this sort of thing myself, but this certainly turned out beautifully.
